The Client Brief & Urban Travel Requirement

DSF sought an understated weekend carryall that transitioned seamlessly from executive boardroom gyms to short-haul airline overhead bins. The brief mandated a water-repellent interior, separate ventilated shoe storage, and high-spec hardware without excessive branding logos.

Material Hybridization & Internal Engineering

Flying Whale combined a rugged 16oz cotton canvas exterior with an interior lining made of 600D high-density waterproof Oxford cloth. We integrated a heat-sealed TPU wet-pocket for swimwear and towels alongside an isolated side-loading shoe compartment with brass ventilation eyelets.

The main compartment features dual-direction YKK explosion-proof metal zippers, while the detachable seatbelt-webbing shoulder strap is anchored by 360-degree rotating matte black alloy swivel hooks.

Subtle Premium Branding

For branding, DSF selected a heat-debossed genuine leather patch affixed to the front panel with tonal edge stitching, accompanied by custom matte metal zipper pullers.
