This notice explains what personal data Chengdu Flying Whale Import & Export Co., Ltd. (“Flying Whale”, “we”) collects through cdflyingwhale.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
1. Who we are
Flying Whale is a manufacturer of custom canvas and Oxford bags, supplying brand owners, retailers and agencies with OEM/ODM production. For any privacy question, write to sales6@cdflyingwhale.com.
2. What we collect
- Information you submit on our quote form: your name, work email, company or brand name, phone or WhatsApp number if you provide it, and the project details you choose to share (product type, target quantity, fabric, finishing, dimensions or reference artwork).
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and the page you submitted from, recorded with each form submission to help us detect spam and fraud.
- Usage data: aggregated page views and traffic sources collected by Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-5KJMTHCT1P).
We do not run an account system, we do not process payments on this website, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, a technical blueprint or a sample proposal.
- To keep a record of the commercial discussion and the specifications we agreed.
- To protect the website against spam and abusive submissions.
- To understand which pages are useful so we can improve them.
4. Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent when you submit the form, on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and securing the website, and on the need to perform a contract once you place an order.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with service providers that help us operate the website and answer you: our hosting provider (Hostinger), our business email provider, and Google Analytics. Artwork and specifications you send are treated as confidential and are never shown to other clients or published without written permission.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after the last contact so that we can pick up an interrupted project, and longer only where an order, warranty or legal obligation requires it. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings (14 months).
7. Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time by writing to sales6@cdflyingwhale.com. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Cookies
This site sets cookies only for analytics and for keeping the website working. Google Analytics cookies help us count visits and see which pages are read; they do not identify you by name. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings without losing access to the site.
9. Where your data is stored
Our website is hosted in the European Union and our business email is hosted by Tencent Exmail. Where data leaves the EEA, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard offered by the provider.
10. Changes
If this notice changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page.
